The Equal Skills syllabus covers the following fundamentals of using a computer.

• Recognising the components of a computer
• Using a mouse and keyboard
• Manipulating objects on the desktop
• Creating a document
• Connecting to the Internet and using search engines
• Sending and receiving e-mails
